Statement of Faith

The Authority of the Scriptures: The Bible is the inspired written Word of God that is completely true and error-free in its original form and is authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

The Trinity: There is only one true and living eternal God who has revealed Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Humanity: Humanity has been created in the image of God; but through Adam’s fall, is now sinful and stands in a state of condemnation before God.

Salvation: Humanity can be saved from the effects of the fall through believing and confessing Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior. It is only through the work of Christ, by His death on the cross, that humanity can be saved from their sins. This is free to all who will call upon the name of Jesus.

Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for the sins of humanity, was physically resurrected from the dead, reigns now at the right hand of the Father and will return to claim His people and judge the world.

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the manifested presence of God who seals our salvation, transforms our lives into a reflection of Christ’s character, values, and perspective. The Holy Spirit equips believers with gifts to serve God, leads believers into the truth of Jesus Christ, convicts humanity of their sin, and empowers believers and the church to live out their faith in Christ.

The Church: The church exists under the authority of Jesus Christ, who is the head and is composed of all who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The mission of the church is to go into the whole world to lead all who are willing, into a mature relationship with Jesus Christ through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.

Human Sexuality: God's design is that man and woman either be joined together in a perpetual monogamous relationship or live in a single state. The practice of extra-marital sex, adultery, or homosexuality is inconsistent with biblical teaching.
